Return & Refund Policy — Gem & Hue

At Gem & Hue, our goal is to offer a clear and trustworthy gemstone buying experience. Every gemstone is carefully inspected and certified before shipping. Since gemstones are natural, unique, and custom-graded products, we follow a simple and transparent return policy.


1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns only in the following cases:

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Item Received

If the gemstone or product you received is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, you may request a return.

Certification Mismatch

If the stone delivered does not match the certification details provided, you are eligible for a return.

Note: Returns are not accepted for reasons related to personal preference (color, inclusions, brightness, astrological suitability, etc.), as natural gemstones vary from piece to piece.


2. Return Window

You must submit your return request within 7 days of delivery.

Please ensure the product is returned with:

  • Original gemstone

  • Lab certificate

  • Packaging

  • Any free accessories provided

Items missing certificates cannot be processed for return.


3. How to Request a Return

4. Return Approval & Inspection

Once the return is received, our gemologists will verify:

  • Stone authenticity

  • Certification match

  • Condition of the gemstone

  • Presence of tampering, scratches, or wear

After inspection, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your return.


5. Refund Timeline

If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

COD orders will be refunded via:

  • UPI

  • Bank transfer


6. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items

  • Natural gemstones vary in color, clarity, and internal characteristics. Returns based on personal preference will not be accepted.

  • Custom-made jewelry (rings, pendants, settings) is non-returnable.

  • “Change of mind” or astrological dissatisfaction is not eligible.

  • Items returned without original certification cannot be refunded.


7. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges.
If you need a different stone, you may purchase it separately after your return (if approved) is processed.


8. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled before they are shipped.
Once dispatched, cancellations are not possible.
